Since 1903, the evolution of Saltarini

The Saltarini company was founded in 1903 by Libero Saltarini Modotti, who worked in Udine as a "tinsmith-plumber".
In 1915, due to the war, he was forced to move to Florence with his family.
Three years later, having returned to Udine, he rented some premises on Via Mantica and began a continuous business in sheet metal work and plumbing, initially focusing only on plumbing and later adding some work in the heating sector.
In 1929, after an experience with a construction company, his son Antonio Saltarini Modotti joined the firm. It was he who provided the decisive impetus for the new company, preparing it technically to levels that were excellent for the time.
As its scope of operations expanded, reflecting new technologies and market demands, the company expanded to its new headquarters on Via Bezzecca. In the years before World War II, Antonio Saltarini purchased the premises of an old glassworks at Via Castellana 45.
During the difficult period of the conflict, he studied and prepared technically for the new phase of post-war reconstruction, experimenting with alternative solutions to keep the company afloat. During that period, he also dedicated himself to the construction of stoves (in collaboration with Fonderie Friulane Zanier), electric water heaters, and tanks for storing fuel oil and water supplies. The business of Libero Saltarini Snc in the post-war period, from 1946 to 1970, experienced exponential growth, primarily due to the technical and entrepreneurial skills of his son Antonio, supported by his sister and brother. The company gained a significant market share throughout the region, introducing highly specialized technical innovations and becoming a guide and school for an entire generation of technicians and workers in the sector.
In 1970, Antonio's sons, Paolo and Fabio, took over and continued the plumbing and heating installation business for the next thirty years. In the early 2000s, they passed the company on to Marco Saltarini Modotti, Paolo's son, who independently managed the company until 2012.

In 2013, a new partner, Guido Casarin, joined the company, and Saltarini became EUCOS, a rebranding that marked the beginning of a new era. Under Guido and Marco, the company expanded, diversifying its services and consolidating its local presence, becoming a point of reference for companies in the tertiary and industrial sectors. In the years following the pandemic, a digital transformation process was initiated, also embracing the new servitization business model with the launch of long-term operational rentals of air conditioning equipment, meeting the market's need for flexibility and energy efficiency.
Today, EUCOS is a Group comprising several companies specializing in different sectors: EUCOS SRL, for the installation of technological systems; EUCOS SERVIZI SRL, dedicated to maintenance and technical assistance; and ALPINVEST SRL, focused on property management and the management and coordination of operating companies. The new business unit, " EUCOS Cooling as a Service ," a spinoff of EUCOS SRL, offers operational rental services for chillers, heat pumps, and other air conditioning equipment. As part of its continued expansion, in 2024 the Group acquired a new operational headquarters in the Udine Industrial Area, designed to support the company's growth while reflecting its cutting-edge approach to managing its operations.
